Aspen/NYU Global Scholars Program
The Aspen/NYU Global Scholars Program is a faculty research consortium, designed to attract top-flight scholars to the theme of the interactive relationship between institutional development and international business and economics. This program is collaboration between The Aspen Institute's Business and Society Program and the Global Business Institute at New York University.The Global Scholars Program, through a series of convenings since 2001, is building a network of scholars to promote this new field of inquiry, and make it a more viable and recognized focus for young scholars who have yet to establish their professional reputation.
Key elements of the Global Scholars program include:
- A commitment to cross-disciplinary perspectives (e.g., economics, sociology, political science, and history);
- An openness to diverse methodologies;
- A focus on international, comparative research questions; and
- A commitment to the support and development of new scholars.
Our most recent convening of the Global Scholars Program was hosted in partnership
with the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI), in Paris, France,
June 2005.
