Johanna Mair
IESE
Before earning a Ph.D. in management, Dr. Mair was directly involved in many aspects of the executive decision-making process in international banking. Her academic projects include Asia Link, an EU-sponsored program that fosters academic exchange and mobility between Asia and Europe in the areas of social entrepreneurship. Her co-authored book, Social Entrepreneurship (2006), was nominated for the “Most Promising Forthcoming Management Book” by the European Academy of Management.
She teaches strategy and social entrepreneurship in the MBA program, the executive programs and the PhD program at IESE. She also teaches course development in the International Faculty Development Program (IFDP), a program providing training to faculty of developing countries. Johanna earned her PhD in Management with a specialization in Strategy from INSEAD ( Fontainebleau, France) and publishes in strategy and entrepreneurship journals.
