Faculty Pioneer Awards
The 2011 - 2012 Faculty Pioneer nomination cycle is complete. Congratulations to this year's winners and thanks to everyone who participated in the nomination process! The next cycle of nominations will be in Spring 2013.
For almost a decade, the Aspen Institute's Faculty Pioneer Awards have recognized exceptional faculty who are leaders in integrating social and environmental issues into their research and teaching. Named “the Oscars of the business school world” by the Financial Times, these awards celebrate educators who have demonstrated leadership and risk-taking in integrating social and environmental issues into academic research, educational programs and business practice. Nominations are open to all faculty members at any institution worldwide offering a graduate management degree.
Nominees should have demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following ways:
Demonstrated leadership in the integration of social, environmental, and economic issues into business school courses, curriculum development and design
Organized or participated in a leadership role in business school activities involving social and environmental topics, including but not limited to: conferences, program design, experiential learning, independent studies, and student clubs
Made a positive and visible impact on business practice with regard to the intersection of social, environmental, and economic issues
Shown cutting-edge scholarship within the context of social and environmental issues in business
Faculty Pioneers will be awarded a small honorarium and celebrated on October 21, 2011 at the Beyond Grey Pinstripes MBA Ranking and Faculty Pioneer celebration in New York City.
